Race Information
The Salmon Falls 50K is a point-to-point ultra-distance trail race. The race begins at the Magnolia Ranch Trail Head near Coloma. The course will run the majority of the trails in the Cronan Ranch area before winding down to finish at Folsom Lake. The estimated vertical gain for the event is nearly 4,000 feet. Races are run rain or shine!

Note for 2025 race finish line: Due to levee construction on our course between Browns Ravine and Folsom Point, our finish line in 2025 will be at Browns Ravine. Runners will enjoy new trails at Salmon Falls Ranch, added to our course this year to achieve the 50K distance.

New Distance!
We've added a Half Marathon distance to the Salmon Falls 50K Endurance Run! The half marathon will start at the Sweetwater Trail parking lot and finish with the 50K at Browns Ravine. The half marathon will see approximately 1,400 feet of elevation gain.

50K start time: 7:30 am from the Magnolia Ranch Trailhead Parking Lot

Complimentary Shuttle to Start
Shuttle service to the start will be available from the race finish at Browns Ravine. Shuttles leave at:

6:15 am for the 50K

8:00 am for the Half Marathon

If you miss the shuttle, it is your responsibility to get yourself to the start. Parking is very limited at our start lines and will be strictly monitored. These lots can be used for drop-off only. The complimentary shuttle service from Browns Ravine to the start is highly recommended.

Race Cut Off
The final cut-off time is 9 hours. (17+ min per mile pace). There will be intermediate cut-offs along the course (cut-offs time to time). Finish line timing and post-race celebration ends at 4:30pm. The half marathon will adhere to the same cutoff times as the 50K.

Race Swag
50K runners will receive a custom jacket with the race logo and gender-specific sizing. Half Marathon runners will receive a custom lightweight zip-up hoodie with the race logo and unisex sizing. All finishers will receive a finisher medal. Not to mention, some ultra prize giveaways from our generous sponsors.

Post-Race
Bask in the glory of your accomplishment at the finish line party at Browns Ravine! We will have water, soda, beer and food for hungry finishers to enjoy while cheering on friends, and a live DJ to keep your stoke high.

Beneficiary
Race proceeds support Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and the fight to end Type 1 Diabetes, in Honor of Roger Wayne Leasure IV who passed away from Type 1 Diabetes in 2021.
